“Listening to our customers and providing what they need is essential; anticipating what will make them more efficient, better positioned – that’s the hallmark of success. It’s not enough to react to customer demand or to execute the typical solution, especially when our customers are constantly changing and the old solutions don’t fit anymore.”

In following with the family tradition, Drew also graduated from Indiana University – Bloomington, IN, in 1983.
As Vice-President, Drew is responsible for the warehouse operations. His main focus is inventory accuracy and he is able to achieve this through our people, our processes and our technology. Drew believes that cycle counts should be done on a continuous bases to maintain high levels of accuracy. This is one of the best ways of identifying problem areas on a timely basis and providing an environment conducive to continuous improvement.
“Technology has increased the speed at which Taylor operates, but it hasn’t changed our fundamental values: safety, integrity, quality, and customer driven service. A new service or clever structure is nothing more than that if it only exists for its own sake. We have to be obsessed not just with the new thing but with the best thing – the idea that becomes somebody’s creative solution.”
Taylor Logistics has an active membership with TIA (Transportation Intermedieries Association)and is proud to be associated with the P3 Platinum Performance Program.

General Manager - Contract Warehousing
Grant started his career as a warehouse operator at Taylor while in High School and in College where he attended The Ohio State University (breaking family tradition). At OSU he achieved his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration double specializing in Logistics Management & Operations Management. Grant received Magna Cum Laude Latin honors and also The Order of the Phoenix from Sigma Alpha Epsilon which is one of the highest levels of recognition that an undergraduate member can receive. During his time in college Grant was an intern at General Electric working at their distribution center in Hebron, Kentucky where he was responsible for outbound kitting operations for the CF-6 engine assembly.
After graduating Grant went to work for Cummins Inc (diesel engine & component manufacturer) where he spent three years at their distribution center in Walton, Kentucky. During his tenure there he was responsible for employee health & safety then onto quality control and then ended his time as the systems manager. At Cummins Grant had a well-rounded experience and gained a lead auditor training from Bureau Veritas in ISO9001/TS16949 as well as a six sigma belt and worked on WMS/OMS system implementations and BI skills with SQL for report automation. Grant learned how important it is to use data and a full understanding of system capabilities while using lean tools like A3/kaizen/gemba to make business decisions and improve processes and then more importantly to document the processes and training to sustain those improvements.
Grant came back to the family business after his learnings in the industry to be an Operations Manager for one of Taylor’s larger customers. During this time he was able to implement with our customer a large number of processes to improve cost and throughput while also maintaining SQF level II certifications and quality standards that are demanded. Partnership has been a key focus with Grant and because of this has grown from one to three warehouses in a short period of time and was promoted to General Manager. With each DC there has been a new implementation with the WMS and with the people and processes and all have been unique and challenging and fast pace but all have been very rewarding. Although he strives himself on the system skills and key data reporting he knows that our most valuable resource are the people that actually bring in the product and pick and ship it out and has set forth a management playbook that promotes and fosters a positive work environment and in turn is valuable to our customers.

Manager of Sales
Steve has over 22 consecutive years in Supply Chain Marketing and Management rejoining Taylor in March of 2009. His career in Logistics started in 1986 while in college at the University of Cincinnati. At that time he answered a call to look into a position at Taylor that was “just like a UPS job”. The rest is history. Steve started filling and checking warehouse orders, then drove straight trucks for Taylor until becoming Sales Manager and Vice President of Sales for Taylor in the late 80’s and early to mid 90’s.
During the late 90’s until February of 2009 Steve was the sole Sales Manager of an award winning regional dry truckload carrier and also engineered the six fold growth of its fledgling 3PL truck brokerage.
“I enjoy the challenge of successfully designing and implementing supply chain solutions that help solve our customer’s needs in the environment of our company’s mission.”
Steve has a BBA in Business Administration-Marketing from the University of Cincinnati. He has been a past member of the CSCMP and WERC. He is originally from the Cleveland, Ohio suburb of Shaker Heights having attended Cleveland Saint Ignatius High School.
Steve’s personal interests are centered by his wife Cindie and son Joey. He is a former professional musician (hence the Taylor dubbed nickname ‘Gigman’). He also enjoys fishing, travelling, bicycling and golfing.

My career in Logistics started in 2005 after graduating from Eastern Michigan University with a B.S. in Distribution Operation and Technical Sales. After holding other brokerage/sales positions at non-asset based logistics companies, I joined Taylor because of the company’s longevity and standing as a true 3PL.
Taylor offers all modes of transport, warehousing and the assets of a having a fleet, which sets us apart from the competition. Across all 3 companies we are surrounded with a wealth of experience and knowledge from food safety in warehousing/transportation to the laws and regulations facing transportation providers. At our core, we are committed to employee education and technology. What I enjoy most about Logistics is that no day is ever the same and one needs to be prepared for the changes that will inevitably come your way on a daily basis. Oftentimes, you are only as good as your last load, so, I believe in all matters, it is imperative to maintain integrity and superior customer service.
Outside of the office my personal interests revolve around my wife Amrita and daughter Zoe. In my spare time I enjoy all things related to soccer, travel, live music and the outdoors.
