Knowing our people, our processes were seamless; we needed our technology to reflect our progression, and for it to also be a selling point for potential new clientele. As a mid-sized family-owned business with a lack of an IT department, we needed to find a cloud or hosted technology solution. After a lengthy search and test running several different systems that were either too complex for our warehousing environment, too costly for the “hosted” option, or required that we hire an entire IT team, we had to find a solution. Turning to industry experts for help, they directed us towards Zethcon. Zethcon, spoke about the startup of their warehouse management system Synapse and how “simplified” it was. An affordable hosted solution that simplifies the complexity of the warehouse functions yet is robust enough to handle all our customer’s requirements. It was a perfect match for our operations.

Fast Startup 

At a 300,000 sq ft contract warehousing operation with virtually no inventory information available, the Synapse system was quickly and efficiently deployed over the course of a weekend. Over 25,000 pallets (LIP’s, item, lot, and quantity) were scanned in to correct locations, and shipping and receiving resumed. There was no downtime or missed shipments throughout the implementation process. Not only was the process seamlessly executed, but the Zethcon team is the best in the industry extremely, knowledgeable, and dedicated to their customers; they are there to assist you with whatever your needs may be. The team, along with the built-in tools, help expedite the build process for the warehouse parameters, customer process requirements, item specs, and custom documents swiftly and efficiently. 


Functionality 

A simplistic approach to handle realistic expectations. Whether you run a single customer facility or a multi-customer facility, Synapse has the functionality to help properly slot SKU’s for the most efficient picking and putaway processes. From e-commerce to distribution center deliveries, pallet picks to piece picks; Synapse handles the customer’s requests with ease, all while keeping the information integrity intact, allowing for full recall reporting capabilities. A full-service EDI suite is also available. Whether you use your software, a 3rd Party, or wish to have Synapse provide the complete service, the system can easily import and export data to/from any EDI platform/standard.

Synapse has the capabilities that make it easy to define, calculate, and manage data based on any business process defined and performed within the system. A simple transfer can be automated or manually processed to transfer the invoices posted each day to Quickbooks and other accounting software.


Reporting

Synapse utilizes Crystal Reports allowing users to create customized SQL reports on the fly. When a customer asks for “unique” information, Synapse can capture the request and can easily be extracted to meet the request promptly. Synapse will also create these reports quickly and efficiently for those customers who don’t house an IT staff.
