Team Taylor just wrapped its biggest Taylor Cares campaign to date, and this one had a World Cup twist. Every team member who signed up was randomly assigned one of the 48 World Cup teams, and from there, the tournament bracket did double duty: rallying the company around the world’s biggest soccer tournament while raising money for the local causes each of our locations supports.

Taylor Cares is our employee-led community impact program. How the fundraiser worked

- Every cause gets a donation. Regardless of how the tournament played out, every Taylor Cares site cause received a donation this year.
- The Final Four adds a bonus. Locations represented by a team that advanced to the Final Four received an additional donation.
- The champion adds an even bigger one. The location represented by the overall World Cup champion received an even larger donation on top of that.

What people got into
Beyond the donations, this one turned into an easy way to build some shared excitement across locations. People swapped notes on their assigned country’s chances, picked up new facts about places they’d never had a reason to look into before, and had something fun to check in on together between shifts.
It was so exciting to see everyone give back. Having the World Cup on at work and rallying around a team you got randomly assigned really got people engaged. People were actually learning about the countries they got, and it turned into such a fun way to talk about our site causes and give back together.
